Fashion hunters or fashion victims?

Surely you have heard about Versace for H&M, the collaboration of the famous Italian brand with H&M. Also other well-known designers, like Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf, Jimmy Choo, collaborated with the brand and every collection met with success.
So I would like to tell you what happened that 17th of November, when Versace's clothes appeared in H&M shops.

3:00 a.m.: People started gathering in that cold night, lining outside shops to have the possibility to catch one piece of the limited collection. They took chairs, blankets, food, everything they needed to be comfortable.
8:30 a.m.: Security gave people bracelets, they were ready!
9:00 a.m.: The shop doors open and changing rooms start to be "crammed" with people. They managed to buy something, but they could buy just one single piece for item. Anyway, getting out of the shop with a bag containing a dress, or a skirt, or pants, was a victory.
So, the question is: Fashion hunters or fashion victims?

However, the collection was wonderful, colorful, swell. Click on Versace or on H&M to have a look.

Bye-bye Jimmy Choo: Tamara Mellon

Jimmy Choo's co-founder sells her last quota and leaves the empire she created.

Jimmy Choopicture from www.grazia.it

Everything started in 1996, when Tamara noticed an unknown designer coming from Malaysia. He is Jimmy Choo. He becomes famous in the world of fashion and his empire reaches 600 € million. In 2001, Tamara had already sold 50% (10 € million) of her quota. Yet, that was just the first step towards complete selling. Anayway the famous maison has continued increasing  its sellings, also creating a men collection. What about Tamara's future? She will probably lead another designer to victory... Is this true?

WELCOME

Welcome everybody!
This is our first “meeting”… This post will help you understand TCD’s target. Well, as you should already know, this blog is on fashion, the marvelous, unreachable world, that almost every girl dreams of.
But fashion is not just pants, t-shirts, dresses, shoes or skirts, which a single person wear. FASHION IS THE INDIVIDUAL: through your clothes people could understand your life, your mood, your job, the way you live and what you like. Do you think this is important? Remember that the first impression is what most people care about. So, your clothes are like a symbol, a way you are communicating with the world. Why not trying to do your best and express what you really are?
It seems to be something philosophical, but it is not.
Click on pages, start writing comments and sending emails… I am waiting!!

Benvenuti!
Cliccate sulle pagine, scrivete commenti e inviate mail... sto aspettando!!
